This section explains how to create and manage your GridUnesp account.

Registered Projects
===================

Every GridUnesp user must be linked to a registered research project. The list of active projects is available at:

https://www.ncc.unesp.br/gridunesp/ProjetosCad.html

Registering New Projects
========================

**Prerequisite:** The project coordinator must be affiliated with Unesp.

**Procedure:**

1. Access the form at:

   http://www.unesp.br/portal#!/gridunesp/submissao-de-projetos/

2. Fill out and submit the form with the project information

3. The GridUnesp team will perform a technical and scientific review

4. You will receive a registration confirmation e-mail

Registering New Users
=====================

Who Can Apply
-------------

Professors, researchers, and students who want to use the GridUnesp infrastructure, including external collaborators (a direct affiliation with Unesp is not required).

Registration Procedure
----------------------

1. Access the registration form:

   https://ncc.unesp.br/registration/

2. Fill in the requested information:

   - Full name
   - Last name
   - E-mail
   - **Username** (login for cluster access)
   - Access password (see recommendations below)
   - The project you are linked to (**GridUNESP user** field)
   - Accept the terms of the :ref:`usage_policy`

3. Click **Submit Registration**

**Choosing a Password:**

Your password must be strong, containing:

- At least 8 characters
- Uppercase and lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special symbols (!, $, %, @, #, ...)
- It must **not** be a common word

Approval Flow
-------------

1. **Project coordinator:** Receives an e-mail to confirm the applicant's information
2. **GridUnesp team:** After the coordinator's approval, finalizes the registration
3. **New user:** Receives a confirmation e-mail with access instructions

   The process may take 1 to 2 business days, depending on the coordinator's response and the team's workload.

Citation Policy
===============

All work that uses GridUnesp resources **must** include an acknowledgment in accordance with the :ref:`usage_policy`.

Acknowledgment Templates
------------------------

**For publications in English:**

   "This research was supported by resources supplied by the Center for Scientific Computing (NCC/GridUNESP) of the São Paulo State University (UNESP)."

**For publications in Portuguese:**

   "Esta pesquisa tornou-se possível graças aos recursos computacionais disponibilizados pelo Núcleo de Computação Científica (NCC/GridUNESP) da Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)."

**User obligations:**

1. Include the acknowledgment in:

   - Scientific articles
   - Conference proceedings
   - Theses and dissertations
   - Presentations at events

2. Report the publication:

   Send an e-mail to ``support.ncc@unesp.br`` with the publication details, following the instructions in the :ref:`reporting_publications` section.

   Reporting publications is essential for the maintenance and upgrade of the cluster, since it supports funding requests submitted to research agencies.
